The only pc games I would be playing is Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, and world of warcraft cataclysm. I have 1500 dollars saved up but would prefer a system 1000 dollars or less. So all I'm looking for is a system that produces ultra high setting quality Blizzard Entertainment games. I was looking at Ibuypower.com the other day and comparing it to alienware but I want to hear from real experianced gamers.

I play World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. I bought a Dell Desk Top and I paid $1300 for it, but I had to pay a delivery charge, and I paid for a warranty and real nice speakers. If you minus those 3 things, it might be near $1000. I think your best bet is to just go into Best Buy or some such store that sells computers, tell them what you are looking for, wanting to do with you computer, and how much you are willing to spend. One of my friends did that, for a game called "City Of Heroes" and he paid about $1000 (little under) for a real nice Gateway, with an even nicer monitor than I have. This takes away a delivery charge too.

What would be a good laptop/pc for making music, and graphic design be?

I want to save up for some overpowered machine of doom. Preferably a PC, nonmac computer. (I'll probably use it for gaming as well, and I don't care for the interface on macs being a very good at manipulating my pc's)

Answer
Since new products get released about every 6 months and brands and stores keep changing the prices, and its all based on starting with a dollar amount (or at least a tight range) of what you want to spend, it's hard to say one thing or another at this point.
Nice summary web site of games played on GPUs:

Passmark scores, and the next tab has GPU G3D ratings:
http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_list.php
Quality/reliability, but note that average is alphabetical and Lenovo (#2 PC seller world wide now), does not split among the product lines, and MAC price-performance is so bad it is ridiculous.

Check newegg.com, and see the GTX 560M models. Asus, Toshiba, MSI, etc. They are nice at about $1100 +/- a bit to $1300
Check Lenovo.Com for the best sale of Y570 Ideapad where email address gets 10% off first order, and $720 gets a GT 555M and core i7 mobile and a decent feature set, lacking only in the HDD and screen resolution. Still a fine system at the price. Wait for the Y580 for a GPU and screen and CPU upgrade again - Maybe June +/- in the date.

Graphic design as 3D CAD and motion 3D graphics needs a fast CPU and lots of RAM. Gaming needs the higher end GPU. You may get either an external monitor or look at the 3D displays if you have the money. It is all about what you have to spend. Build-your-own desktops get the best bang for the buck, as non-portable workstations/gaming stations.
Adding by first answer just seen: Alienware is Dell, expensive, pretty, but the only special ones are the dual GPU systems that are heavier than a desktop PC. Would get the Asus GTX 560M over any Alienware pretty system that does not perform as well.
