I have XFX 4350 1GB in my HTPC and I would like to connect it to a 27" IPS monitor with 2560 x 1440 resolution and DVI-D connector.
Card specifications say that Max Supported res is 2560x1600, but I'm a bit skeptical about that since its a really low-end card and I'm not sure which kind of DVI connector is on it.

Answer
All modern graphics cards can support up to 2560x1600 resolutions for normal windows operation [so you will have a large desktop to work with]. But if you are buying the monitor for playing games then the low spec XFX 4350 will not cope with playing any games at anywhere near that resolution.
So when you are gaming you will have to lower the resolution by some way to get playable frame rates.
