Answer
First gaming Pc needs good graphics and sound,.

So we will see something according to that,.then i am not gonna suggest u higher end cards and price list,.i will tell u,.a pc configuration which can handle games up to 2015,.
see don't go for more ram,.coz game never take more ram,..all it take more process than ram,.so 3 gb is enough coz,win xp and vista 32 supports only ram up to 3.5.,.64 bit os cant support most of the games,.but, u need a faster ram,.k,.then games don't support quad core pc,.so don't for for quad core processor,.most games don't support .,.then sli and crossfire is completely waste,.if u want to add 40 inch screen go for them..i am gonna suggest u hd lcd with top performance and clarity,.,will be under medium range.,.so.,,trust me.,.,i am choosing the best.,.,

Intel Core⢠2 Duo E8600 3.33GHz processor.,.
,best for gaming than quad core.,.,which 95% games don't support.,.

"Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R motherboard"
which is latest and has no sli crossfire.,.,and on board audio card.,.,will save u lot of money but will give u killer gaming.,.,coz it supports ddr2 up to 1333 mhz.,.,don't go for ddr3 yet no processor which gives full performance with them.,.

"Gigabyte -GV-N98TOC-1GH- GeForce 9800 GT 1gb gddr3 card"
Is more than enough to drive 2 30 inch LCD over 2000+ resolution.,.,so for u its best choice it can drive and game in 100+ frames per second.,.

"Gigabyte SUMO 5115 metallic black gaming cabinet with ODIN GT 550W power unit from gigabyte"
i recommend u this coz it has a option that u can add a serious water cooling system in future,.and 550 w odin has a software control from internal usb bus,.so u can manage u r power well,.,its perfect for this setup,.

"Kingston HyperX 1 GB DDR2 RAM (KHX9600D2/1G) x 4 modules" so, u can get 4 gb dual channel capability 1200 mhz for serious gaming., i suggest u this ram, because if u wish u can overclock it to 1333 with good water cooling system,.

"Creative sound blaster X-FI Platinum Fatilty champion series"
there are few latest pci express cards but this is convenient coz u can connect headphones from front bay,.it has lot extra inputs and outputs for user.,.,its east and had tweaked only for gamers,.he he.,

"Creative inspire t6100 5.1 speakers"
Is best for gaming.,.and not too much like a giga works,.,spend in mid get in max.,.u can take u r games to serious 5.1,.,surround for realism,.,.

"Western Digital VelociRaptor 300gb 10000 rpm Sata Hdd x 3 units"
u will get 900 gb triple channeled 3gbps super fast 10000 rpm hard disk,.,.,u can use one hdd for windows and 1 for game drive.,,.if u use game drive software u don't need to load game dvd and cd.,.,for every time i will tell u later abt it.,.and u can make a better backup and virtual memory swap.,.,with this setup,.

"Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP 24-Inch Wide-Screen LCD monitor"
the best graphics gaming monitor reviewed as top 5 in most of sites like pc world,.

"Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave Pro" is a combo of keys and mouse which will give u 10 m range with a laser sharp access,.over all u r moves in game,.u can even relax in u r sofa and game,.he he.,.

"Sony BWU-200S - 4X blu-ray writer" this is a bit costly piece.,.,but if u wanna be future proof go for it or go for regular Samsung
22 x dvd-rw sh223 series its award wining and cheap too,.

U NEED 2250$ to 2750$ APPROX TO BUY THESE.,.,BUT I AM SURE IF U HAVE THESE U WILL BE A GAME GOD TILL 2014 AT LEAST,.

GOOD GAMING HEADPHONES?

Alex

Hi, im looking for some quality gaming headphones under these preferences:
Comfy earmuffs, crystal clear microphone & the microphone doesn't pick up background noise.
I made youtube commentarys and I want a quality headset with an amazing microphone.

Please give me some links on what you recommend, and one last preference.
AUSTRALIAN WEBSITES ONLY MOFOS SO I CAN GET CHEAP SHIPPING :D

Answer
A really good brand is turtle beach sold at EB games, i don't know where else its sold. There are a few commentary's of the product on you tube. This brand is fairly priced and excellent produce excellent headphones, but make sure you get the ones that work on computer, they have a usb thingy most of them do or if you want it for a gaming console most of them can do PS3, Xbox360 and pc,anyway go to www.ebgames.com.au and go search turtle beach and a list of different models of their headphones should show up.
The really good ones cancel back round noise, comfy leather muffs, equalizer (eg.) bass boosting, Crystal clear microphone, also sensitive for that time where you don't want you parents to know your awake (experience).
Eb games Australia link : http://www.ebgames.com.au/
Turtle Beach link : http://www.turtlebeach.com/
NOTE: if you are getting it in ebgames they only have a few models and run out fairly quickly so you might have to pre-order them.
Hope this helped enjoy :)

what is a good gaming computer?

Luis

like a decent computer that plays most games at 30 frames even while recording with something like fraps. what processor and how many rams should it have for games like gta 4, cod mw3,
2.8 ghz sounds about right my computer only has 2.00 ghz and it is a windows vista with 32.bit. and i get let's say 20 frames on this game called minecraft set has far. smooth lightning and fancy graphics off. if this questions gets any more answers will $500 buy me a decent computer one a bit better than this one.
well a computer i had my eye on costs about 400$ with quad core proccesse 4 gb and about 500 gb includes keyboard and mouse. another 100 for the screen. will it be good enough. i really forgot how much the tower itself costed. either $400 or $500. it sucks how they never include the graphics card on the towers info. so does it depend on the screen for the graphics card?

Answer
Most games are still optimized for dual cores, but having other processes running, and recording (recording uses alot of cpu).

Id recommend a 2.8ghz+ quad core processor.

You really only need 4GB of ram, even for gaming and multitasking, but if you want to future proof more, 8GB is good. More then 8GB is plain stupidity.

Now as for graphics, to play cod MW3 on highest settings @ 1920x1080 will require a higher end graphics card like a gtx560 or 6850 or better. So id suggest getting a 6850 or higher graphics card.

EDIT: Well it depends on what you need. If you need operating system, monitor, keyboard/mouse, speakers/headphones, $500 isnt going to get you very far.

For a decent gaming computer you need $500-600 for just the computer tower itself, none of the above things.
Its also usually better to build your own computer. Also if you do that, you can reuse an old HDD or dvd drive and save a few bucks aswell.

Id suggest:
core i5-2300/2400
some cheap z68 motherboard
4gb of ddr3 ram
500GB-1Tb 7200rpm HDD
Any sata dvd burner, they are like $15-20
a cheaper $40-60 mid tower case (antec, coolermaster, nzxt, thermaltake, rosewill cases are good)
a 430W corsair PSU
an amd 6850 graphics card

That should run somewhere around $500-600.

A good gaming computer.?

I want to buy a gaming computer but i don't know what one to get. I'm looking for a desktop about $300-$450. It needs to be able to handle Minecraft and DayZ on high settings and Battlefield and Call of Duty on medium-high settings. If you can't help me with that budget i can go lower on the settings, but if you can please give me a link and thank you.

Answer
Its not about the person helping you being able to help or not...

There is NO possible way to play games on anything but the lowest with that budget...
With that low of a budget, you will likely be using an A8-3850 and using the built in graphics... Which could probably barely play BF3 at 1366x768 resolution, with no hope for 1920x1080.

This is assuming you are building it yourself, which give you the upmost control over the best price/performance and quality.

If your budget was like $500-550 (and you already have a windows OS, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and speakers), then you can get what you are looking for.

EDIT:
Assuming you already own
Windows OS ($90-100)
Monitor ($100-160)
keyboard ($10+)
mouse ($10+)
speakers/headphones ($20+)
if you need any of the above, just give up on getting a gaming computer until you have ALOT more money...

Cpu+motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1068277
ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148543
HDD+PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1067661
Graphics: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102988
Optical drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136247
Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811815014
Total: $454.93 (after shipping, but before rebates, $35 total rebates)

If you wanted the most of $450 you could

drop ram to 4GB ($-12)
drop case to a cheap PoS ($-15-20)
drop psu to 430W corsair ($-8)
drop HDD to 500GB (-$10)

That will net you an extra $45-50, but make you not able to easily upgrade anything at all lol, you would pretty much be stuck with this config.
You can either keep that extra money, or put it into graphics, and get a 7750, which is a big step up.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161403

with the 7750 you should be able to play BF3 on low-med settings at 1920x1080, and rest on med-high at 1920x1080. (well minecraft doesnt count, anything can max that game lol)

Again if you need windows ($90-100) you are fked on this budget...
same with something like a monitor.

if you want prebuilt this is pretty much the cheapest possible
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229285
Though it does come with windows 7, but it has a cheap case, a VERY VERY generic psu (probably a $5-10 one), and the cheapest motherboard money can buy, likely a 760G chipset.
And it only has 1yr warranty, where as most individual parts have 1+ years each. and you onyl have to end in 1 part rather then whole computer.
(and 3850 > 4100FX in performance)

How do I convince my mom to let me buy a 3DS?

Hi! So my case is different than most people's i think.

I have the money and I'm 150% willing to buy it with my own money (like I always do when it comes to electronics such as computers, headphones, e-readers, etc).
But my mom won't let me buy it because she thinks that it'll distract my brother (who's obsessed with games) which is complete bull because of the following reasons:

1) my mom allows him to play League of Legend for around 3 hours every day.
2) he has a freaking DS emulator on his phone already
3) I've talked to my brother and he said that he doesn't give two knee slaps if I got a DS or not.

But my mom is so strict and scary to confront. What should I do and how should I do it?

Answer
I just got a 3ds xl and my mom had the same opinion. Its your money dude, go out there and buy it. Dont give a damn about your moms opinion, its worth the money, she will just have to deal with it.

What are parts that I need to build a computer?

best gaming computer headphones
on Visit my website for more information about best gaming headsets
best gaming computer headphones image

crobey98

So I plan on building a gaming computer this summer and I need a list of all the parts that go in.

Also- Do I need a wifi-card to make wifi work?

Answer
As to wifi, that depends on the motherboard. Some motherboards come with built-in WiFi, but I have only seen this on high end boards (although, I've only been shopping high end boards lately, so it might also be available else where). If the motherboard doesn't have built in wifi, you'll either need a wireless network adapter, or you'll need a wireless bridge (a wireless bridge is similar to a wireless router, except it's meant to receive a wireless signal rather than transmit one).

Assuming you're building a computer from scratch, and you are bringing no parts of your own, you will need:

A case (buying a good case saves you from having to buy new cases in the future)
A power supply (or power supply unit, PSU)
A CPU
A motherboard
RAM
A graphics card (if you wish to play games/movies OR if your CPU does not have a built in graphics processor)
Depending on the CPU and what you plan to do, you may want an after market CPU cooler
A DVD drive
A hard drive
A keyboard
A mouse
A monitor
If you don't have monitor speakers or don't wish to use them, you'll need speakers, or headphones

What are all of the parts required to build a computer?

Joey

This is how I want the question answered, please:

Make a list of all of the components of a computer, then the tools/items necessary to build it, and any other information you think I should know.

This is optional, but could you also please recommend good parts for the price?

This will be a gaming computer. I have $1,200.00 to spend, but I could go up to $1,350.00 if necessary. I will be using NewEgg.

Thank you all very much in advance. :)
Almost forgot - what protective gear do I need as well?

Answer
Case (main points, Look for tool-less and what cooling it supports.)

Motherboard (Determined by your choice of video card, processor, and ram)

Processer (Often can be found bundled with heatsink and mobo, make sure its at least 64bit.)

Heat Sink + Thermal Paste/Goo (better heatsinks can often times be a lot quieter or more efficient)

PSU (Power Supply Unit) (The main factor on this will likely be your video card(s))

Video Card(s) (For multiple - Nvidia look for SLI and for Radeon look for Crossfire)

Sound Card (Unless your an audiophile or went high end sound, onboard can be good enough)

Network Card (Most have onboard nics 10/100/1000 mbs, but if you want WiFi youll need a card)

Memory (Aka RAM, the speed of ram is limited by motherboard and processor, Look for at least 4 gigs.)

Hard Drive (You'll be looking at Internal SATA drives, IDE are outdated and SCSI are unnecessary)
Disc Drive (CD/DVD)

Fans/Liquid Cooling (Fans are easier, Liquid is typically quieter. Also there are adapters for 120mm fans, as they are typically quieter and to help with cleaning you can get simple filters that attach to the intake to limit dust.)

Peripherals - Monitor, Mouse, Keyboard, Speakers/Headphones

You can also often times get lights that operate off typical molex or sata power connectors, if you want to have a fancy window on the side.

If you want wireless headphones, I'd suggest also getting Bluetooth and an A2DP headset. I've used normal ones with the "base" and haven't used any with more then mediocre quality.

do skull candy gaming headphones work on a PC?

Marcus

i want to buy some gaming headphones for my gaming computer but all the headphones on skull candy website say xbox 360. I was just wondering if these will still work on the computer? The ones i want are G.I. Xbox 360 Gaming Headset Black. If they wont can anyone recomend any gaming headphones for under £60. thanks

Answer
The headphones will work, but the microphone will not.Standard PC audio inputs (mic, speakers, headphones, etc...)are in 3.5mm format. The headphone portion of this headset is in 3.5mm, however the mic, is not. There are some options to get around this.

First, just google pc gaming headset, I guarantee that you'll find one under 60.

If you really like these, you could just buy a cheap pc microphone and clip it to your shirt or something like that.

(I dont know if this will work) Ive read that xbox 360 mic inputs are 2.5mm jacks, so you could get a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter (like 2 bucks).
