I want to BUILD my own gaming computer, and I have been looking for good parts (RAM, Graphics Card, hard drive, etc.) to build a gaming computer with. I want to know what kind of specs will get me the best gaming results and what parts provide me with said specifications so that I can run games like Far Cry 3 and Skyrim and any other game that will require good specs. The preferred price is around $1,000 to $1,500.

my computer runs great and i play battlefield3 and planetside2 on the highest settings and still run about 100 fps! i have a little bit older graphics card but everything else in up to date. its a gigabyte am3+ chipset motherboard(awesome motherboard)(54.99) the processor is an amd 8350 am3+ 8 core and runs at 4.0 ghz(189.00) i have 16gb of corsair ddr3 ram(79.99) and i have a 1 tb western digital caviar green harddive(80.00) and a .5 caviar green(65) and the case and such doesnt really matter but with monitor and case and all i only paid 750 and mine will run anygame on the highest settings and thats with a 5 year old graphics card! so with a new graphics card it would run prolly everygame at 250 fps! idk if it helped but i use microcenter.com

I was looking for a gaming computer with the best specs i can get for a reasonable price. Any help would be appreciated.

Answer
A good gaming computer could cost anything from 800 bucks to over 10 grand

If you build your own computer using barebone set you could save your self a decent amount of money. If you don't want to build your own computer you can try dells or hps

I have a NVIDIA Geforce 9100, and I'm looking to buy a new one for gaming..

My computer specs are..

4 GB Ram
452 GB HDD
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5400+ (2CPU's) ~2.8GHZ
64 Bit service pack 1 home premium vista.

I think that's all you need, what's a good, nice cheap replacement? Thanks.

Answer
System make and model # ?
Does it have a PCI Express x16 slot ?
What's your power supply rated at (watts) ?
Cheap ? How cheap ? What's your budget ?

The GeForce 9100 is an integrated graphics device that's part of the motherboard, not a "card". If you post the make and model # of your system, we can look up the specs...but we still need to know your price range.

What kind of graphics cards can my computer run?

I wanted to upgrade my computers graphics card for gaming
Computer specs
Model: Asus CG5270
RAM: 8gb
Processor: 2.50ghz 2 quad core intel
GPU: Nvidia GT 220

Answer
Out of the box a singe Geforce GTX 550TI on the stock 400W PSU. It's a full tower and if you want something beefier i'd suggest a replacement PSU. The motherboard in the machine does not support SLI (it only has one PCI Express x16 port) so you're going to want to consider a new PSU and a GTX 560/660+ (For Geforce cards it's model number system is xN{0/5} where x is the series, N is the model, and 0/5 are subrevisions. For example a 260 while being a 2-series is a better card than a 550ti since the x50's are entry level and the x60's are mid-range.)

My computer specs are as follows: windows 7 home premium 64 bit, raptor r500 500watt power supply, intel core 2 duo e8400 @3.00 GHz, 6 GB RAM, MSI motherboard. Thank you.

Answer
ATI HD 6670 1gb ddr5 is pretty good for low-ish end gaming. It'll play LoL easily.

I'm building my own computer, and I'm focusing on a gaming computer. (I play minecraft :D ) And I don't want lag. I'm building my own because I find it much better than buying say..... an alienware computer. There good, but kinda expensive, building my own is better because I only need certain things to be good. Basically, what are good specs for a gaming computer? Thanks for your help :D

Answer
First of all, you do not need a gaming computer for playing Minecraft.

If you plan on getting into gaming more and playing other games, I'll give you my recommended build.

Motherboard: Socket 1155, DDR3
Processor: Intel i5-2500k at 3.3ghz socket 1155 (quad-core)
Graphics Card: GTX 550 Ti or GTX 560
RAM: 4gb DDR3-1600
Hard Drive: 1 terabyte 7200rpm
Power Supply: 600w or higher with 6-pin graphics card connector
Case: ATX/mATX mid-tower

That's about it.
