Best Gaming Computers?

matt

So i am looking for a very good gaming computer or laptop for a good price. I have been looking for something possibly in the range from 500-800 and i know that doesnt give me much to work with but its what i have. So ive come to find this gaming computer http://cgi.ebay.com/iBUYPOWER-Gamer-Power-903-Core-2-Quad-Q8200-2-33GHz_W0QQitemZ320486623645QQcmdZViewItemQQptZDesktop_PCs?hash=item4a9e7dc99d

And also http://cgi.ebay.com/Asus-15-4-G50Vt-X5-Core-2-Duo-P7450-2-13GHz-4GB-320GB_W0QQitemZ230447731109QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLaptops_Nov05?hash=item35a7c151a5

Are these good buys? they are decently priced expecially the first and im looking to play games like Empire total war and World of Warcraft pretty well.

Answer
For gaming, definitely go with a desktop. It's hard to get decent gaming performance on laptops for under $1000, and they aren't upgradeable later on.

While the absolute best value for your dollar comes building from scratch, there are plenty of better deals. The first system isn't good for gaming- the graphics card is worthless and would have to be replaced, the processors is also rather slow.

Here's a much better (and cheaper) choice:

Building from scratch you could get something much more powerul. Or you could spend another $150 to upgrade the graphics card and power supply on the this computer. But for WoW and Empire Total War, it wouldn't be necessary.

World of Warcraft gaming computer?

i am trying to buy a computer for my son but I don't know too much about computers. I was wondering if this computer would good for World of Warcraft and if you know a better computer thats around $600 then please put a link to it

Answer
I would say no because World of Warcraft is a pretty low graphic game. You don't need something like that to play it a normal business laptop or desktop will be perfectly fine. Secondly, don't buy computers that is not main stream. The chance of you running into troubles and the cost to fix it would be a lot high than if you were to buy from Dell or Sony. Now my suggestion are for WOW specifically. If you want to also play others games like Modern Warfare 2, Fallout 3, or other high end games then maybe a gaming computer might be more suitable for you. I hope this help. Good luck picking your computer.

i am new to the gaming computer world and am looking for a cheap gaming computer to start off on, any advice would be helpful.

Answer
Build one instead, not only do you get more performance for your money but it also gives you a feeling of satisfaction once it's done and running, and to be honest, once you've done enough research it really isn't difficult at all.

This build is fairly decent, around your budget and the video also teaches you how to put it together: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bh455l3348s

Good Luck :)

So I used to be on top of all the gaming news in the world but I kinda quite with computer games and went to consol games. Recently i have been missing the computer games and all I have to play is a 6 year old computer.

I kno of a lot of companies that make amazing gaming computers. Like alienware but I was just going to ask are there any good gaming computers out there for a relatively low price??? Thanks for any answers!

Have you considered building your own gaming computer? It would be much cheaper than buying one from a company, such as alienware, that puts it together for you. You can go to newegg.com and buy the parts listed below for 2 different good gaming computers. The first gaming computer can run most games like WoW, allods, cally of duty, HON, SC2 etc at a little less than max graphics pretty well. The second custom computer can basically run any game you throw at it on max graphics at over 60FPS easily.

I'm looking for the best parts for a gaming computer so that I can get all of it off of ebuyer and build my computer but i'm not too sure what are the best things to have. I want to be able to play Garry's mod, Minecraft, Left 4 Dead 2, Lego games, Sumotori Dreams and World of Warcraft. I also want to record videos and put them on Youtube and eventually become a partner.. So what are the best parts for the computer and what is the best recording software?

Answer
Tom's hardware provides very good comparison guides for most components and even low, mid and high end build guides that you could take in total.

What is the best gaming computer thats fast and could be displayed on a 37" for around $1000 or less?

Anthony

I want to know simply whats the best gaming computer out there that can handle being pluged in a 37" samsung tv as my desktop monitor and very fast. I plan on playing games like skyrim, world of warcraft, mw3, and diabloIII. Also I would like to spend no more than around $1000 or less.
~Its a B-day present thankyou

Answer
Hi, screen size does not mean much, resolution does. Most monitors and TVs have 1080p res, which is 1920x1080. For that $1000 budget is perfect. I recommend Intel i5 2500K with good video card, 4-8GB RAM is perfect.
Check this page below - it has many great options for every budget, with free shipping and clear price you will pick what you need in no time. Warrior and even Hunter will run D3 on High no probs

I am on a budget and yet want a good gaming computer, specifically for world of warcraft but also for the other usual things. I have narrowed it down to a couple of choices in my other questions, but I have heard bad things about them. Even though they are gaming laptops, they are the less expensive ones so I dont know if they are all that good for gaming. I need answers and help.

Answer
Nvidia 260m GTX - will play anything at decent settings.

Even Cheaper - but GPU is slower.

What should I use to build my gaming computer?

Q. I know a fair amount about computers, hardware, software, and such. I have not really been keeping up with the newest types of hardware coming out and how they work and here is where my problem starts.

What my question is...What hardware do I need to build a decent gaming computer that will play World of Warcraft on Medium-High graphic settings with no lag.

Besides Hard-drive, CD/DVD ROMS, and other unnecessary peripherals that dont effect the computers power.

If you need any other info. please just ask.

Answer
I'd probably have to go with something like this. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4910494&CatId=2683 It won't be long and all these dual core machines will be obsolete and we'll be running 128 bit Windows.
