I want to build a good gaming computer for 800, however it is so close to black friday. Should i see if there are any good deals on pre built pcs, or go ahead and build one since parts dont go on sale?

Answer
Parts go on sale. I'd wait if I were you - and keep your credit card by the computer.

Just one example:

Would building a gaming computer myself be cheaper than buying one premade?

I love LoL

This is for a gift thats not going to be for until March 2012. I know that's far but i was thinking if I buy parts here and there it would be cheaper in the long run.

Here are the specs that i'd like to have

I know it would have to be a Hex Core.
It would need a PSU of at least 700W
DDR5 graphics card??

could u "build" me a good gaming computer? What are your suggestions and comments?

Answer
I dont recommend a Hex Core Processor if you are into gaming..
a quad is more than enough..

Here's my recommendation for you

Intel Core i7 995X @ 3.60GHz
Nvidia GeForce GTX 580 SLi
Patriot Wildfire HDD
16GB RAM
Asus F1A55 Motherboard
Cooler Master Silent Pro M850 850W

That would be a beast

Thats it.

I'm looking for the best parts for a gaming computer so that I can get all of it off of ebuyer and build my computer but i'm not too sure what are the best things to have. I want to be able to play Garry's mod, Minecraft, Left 4 Dead 2, Lego games, Sumotori Dreams and World of Warcraft. I also want to record videos and put them on Youtube and eventually become a partner.. So what are the best parts for the computer and what is the best recording software?

Answer
Tom's hardware provides very good comparison guides for most components and even low, mid and high end build guides that you could take in total.

What's the best gaming computer for the money?

I am looking for a good gaming computer but don't really have a thousand dollars to spend on it. I think that my max price would be from 300-500. Does anyone know any good ones? And I would like for it to be strong enough to play arma 2 and project reality. Thanks.

Answer
To be honest with your price range your options are limited. There is a budget build here: http://www.omfgnetwork.com/2012/omfg-network-amd-copper-build-2/ But it does not include the monitor, mouse, ect. But that all depends on if you want to build your own computer. Also Alien Ware tends to be more expensive than building it yourself, but you will not have to assemble it yourself.

I'm planning on building a gaming computer that is capable of running games like Black Ops 2 and Starcraft 2 on ultra graphics without killing the computer and while staying in a manageable price range.
Please help me out! Any and all suggestions will be considered. Thanks!

P.S any advise on other computer parts is appreciated as well. ^.^

Answer
I think that this website will be easier to understand and follow than the other recommended site: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-pc-overclocking-pc-building,3273.html

TomsHardware does gaming build-offs several times a year and the latest one is August 2012... a new one should be coming out shortly. You will see that they have 3 basic priced builds : $500, $1000, $2000 but none of them include the cost of a operating system.

I use this site to determine what I am going to use when I build a gaming system for my clients.

What are all the parts I am going to need to build a gaming PC?

Ta-Shiki

I have never really done this before. I have taken computers apart and put them back together. I have switched out parts from computer to computer. But I have never actually built a PC. Needless to say, this is a learning experience and a fun way I figured to blow off a $1500 bonus from work. Here is the kind of gaming computer I would like.

I want to be able to play games like Kill-Zone, so I need a computer that can handle the graphics.
However, I also want to be able to play old games from 2003-2006 (If I need to rip out parts from older computers I will).
I also like to download a lot of things on my computer. Like, a lot!
I also like to multitask.
That's about it.

Answer
Ok. List.
Graphics- Radeon 7600 Series.
Motherboard-AMD Radeon 7690.
Tradition cables.
Intel Quad Core Prosceesor, 2012 version.
A decen fan system.
For the casing. I'd go with a dell case.
Sony 2013 Disk Drive All Purpose
Chrome Browser.
An alienware monitor if you can find one.
If not the above. Go with a Dell 2012 24-25" LCD monitor.
Windows 7
