Intel Core i5-2500K Quad-Core Processor.
AMD Radeon HD 6850 or Nvidia Gtx 550 ti ( cant choose between these 2).
NZXT M59 Gaming Cabinet or Cooler Master Elite 431.
LG 22inch LED Monitor.
Cooler Master 550w extreme Power PSU.
Asus P8H67-M-LX 16GB DDR Intel Motherboard.
Ram will be 4GB DDR3 Memory of 1333 MHz.
500 GB Seagate HDD.

Please Note That :- i'll also be using software like Maya 2011/2012, Combustion, most of the adobe softwares like Premiere CS5, After Effects CS5. then HD Video Editing.etc. Also please tell me that if choosing Nvidia, is it eVGA gtx 550ti or ASUS gtx 550ti. OR if choosing Radeon, is it ASUS HD 6850 or XFX HD 6850. Please answer fast. Thanks.

Answer
Either for gaming or the programs you want to use, you're not going to make it with either of those cards because they are too weak.

You should be looking at an ATI 6970 or NVidia GTX560ti core 448, at least.

In fact, for the use of your editing stuff, you'd be better off with a Quadro card, but they're bloody expensive ($2000 to $7000) and not fit for gaming...

The rest of your system is okay, except you'd want to go for at least 8GB of RAM for the rendering/editing stuff...

i7 cloan PC VS. iMac 2012 27" ?

Sakir K

Hello guys.
Im so confused what to buy.

here's my option 1:
=============
Intel i7 â 3770k
ASUS P8Z77-I DELUXE/WD (built in bluetooth/ wifi/WiDi )
16GB DDR3 ram
1TB HDD
Bluray burner
Samsung 27" series 9 3D monitor

***no dedicated VGA

it'll cost me almost $1950 (including everything else)

2nd option
========
iMac 27" (latest 2012)
3.2GHz quad-core Intel Core i5
8GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675MX with 1GB

***basically 4th iMac option in apple website without any upgrade

cost me $2199

wht I actually do with a PC ??
-browse internet
-watch bluray
- web coding/photoshop/flash
-casual gamer (hitman 5, COB type games)

So which one shud I get ??
plzzz help me decide...better if u also tell me why :D

Answer
You would want the 1st option because 1: It is all much faster than the iMac, and 2: Gaming is much better on PC because many more games are coded for the Windows OS.

Please Suggest Me A Good Graphic card?

Jitin

My investment is around 3000 Rs. to 4000 Rs. (55 dollars- 72 dollars)

Previous Graphic card - GeForce 9400GT DDR2

I Want better Graphic Card than 9400GT to play games like Max payne , COD black ops 2 etc(upcoming 2013 games) and work in 3d max 2012 without lag!

Pc Specs are :
Intel Core i5-3450 CPU ~ 3.5Ghz
8 Gb ram
Monitor size is 22 inches and 18 inches
OS- window 7

Kindly Suggest me best one in this range :)

Answer
With that range i would wait and raise more money.
For Several Reasons ;
1. There is an Upcoming Graphics card generation on our doorstep , so your card will be outdated before you know it.
2. Running a game smoothly with a card in that range would be hard and it would require you to sacrifice game's graphics in favor of performance.
3. If your monitor is Full HD it is going to be harder than you would think. You would be forced out of your monitor's native resolution in favor of performance. (Be mindful that LCD monitors do not perform well outside of their native resolution.)

Other than that , you have two options ;
Get a HD6670
Alternative option ;
It may be just slightly out of your range but Nvidia GT640 would outperform HD6670.

Second option ;
Get one Hd6670 then raise money to get another then use crossfire to link them and you will get a good graphics performance that would be not far from hd6950's performance which is a high-end card.
Of course if your motherboard supports crossfire by having and additional PCI-E x16 Slot.

Hope i helped.

Cheers!

Answer
Depends on what you want, Im running the BenQ XL2410T, its cheap, 3D ready and is built for gaming
http://apcmag.com/first-look-the-benq-xl2410t-.htm

Or you could try the Asus VG278 its pretty much the same thing but a bit more expensive
http://event.asus.com/au/2012/vg278/

Or try samsung if you value aesthetics, they re expensive but they look real nice :)
