Best monitor under $300?

I'm looking to buy a decent monitor (19" or lrgr) with a budget of $300 max. I would prefer a monitor that's ideal for video playing. I'm not a gamer, so that's not a priority. Any help or feedback would be helpful. Thanks!!!

Bought mine from OfficeMax.com for $299. It's currently $399 but they go on sale about every two weeks.

I've had mine for over 2 months and I am happy with it. It doesn't have the best aesthetics (shell not as pretty as Sony, Samsung, Dell, Gateway LCD monitors we have at work) but the LCD panel is just as good as the higher end ones. I think the SOYO is better than the digital Samsung and Dell panels I use at work. Much more brighter.

As with all things, look past the logos and labels and focus on the specifications and materials.

Also, I've hooked up my Xbox 360 to it (VGA connector) and it works really nice...great color and contrast.

Best value for your $300 if you can get one locally or off the Net.

If I weren't going to to have to explain the purchase of a Playstation 3, I would spend that extra money on a Gateway 24 LCD (more inputs) but, then, you're talking about a monitor that'll be double what the SOYO is with the same display specs.

Is there a LCD monitor which can connect to a PS2?

I need to buy an LCD monitor, preferably 21 inch or 22 inch which has connectors for PS2 and preferably PS3 also (though the latter is not important).
I already have a Z-5500 speakers which are said to be the best in pc speakers, I also would like to get an LCD monitor which will make it really cool to play games on with my PS2.

What is a good gaming desktop for under 800?

I'm looking for a decent gaming computer for cheap. I need something that comes with a monitor, that comes with dedicated video memory and a good processor. I have been looking around and it seems that the cheapest computer out there that looks decent is Acer. I heard that Acers are crap, though. Anyone know? I'm not a huge fan of Dell's Inspirons, but I do like HP. Also I hate AMD processors. I'm looking for Intel's Core 2 Duo, or Core 2 Quad.

Umm have you ever considered just making your own desktop? That way you can get what you want and will probably get the best deal since few companies will offer gaming rigs at reasonable prices. You can try ibuypower or cyberpowerPC but building it yourself if your best bet.

You could also look into barebone kits where they do all the hard stuff by finding the compatible RAM, mobo, cpu. All you need to install are the HDD, optical drive, and video card which is really easy. Here's a list of ones powered either by a Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad. (Ignore the ones under $300)
