LCD or LED pc monitor for gaming?

esco

I plan on getting a 30' monitor which one LCD or LED for gaming?

Answer
They will both be LCD - that's the display technology that all flatscreen monitors use.
LED or not is to do with the backlighting.

The LED one uses LED lights as the backlight
The non-LED one used a fluorescent light as the backlight.

It is more important to choose one with a good contrast ratio and fast reponse time.
Monitors with slow response times will show a ghosted blurry image in fast moving screen action. Monitors with low contrast ratio will have blacks that are dark grey and colours that look washed out.

Ideally you want a high contrast ratio, a fast response time and LED backlight.

using samsung 3d LED as monitor wants to use 3d for pc games?

Chris Q

i just got the new LED 3D HDTV by samsung with the IR and shutter glasses. what i wanna do is play my pc games in 3d as if i got the nvidia 3d card.... now i dont use that.. i have an ATI card... but is there software to convert? orrrr should i just use the 2d-to-3d menu option??
anything 3d party?
i meant to say *3rd

Answer
ATI has no options for 3D and nVidia's 3D games are for use with their 3D Vision kit.

Im Building a pc and want to get a gaming monitor under $300. What do you think of the ASUS VS278Q-P Ultrafast 1ms 27-Inch LED-Lit Monitor or ASUS VG248QE 24-Inch Screen LED-lit Monitor. Any recommendations or suggestions?

Answer
the monitor you list is a VERY good gaming monitor. The 27" that is. You want the as fast a response time and the biggest size you can afford. Asus makes good monitors (and no I'm not affiliated w/them in any way) and you won't go wrong w/that 1st one you listed.

How can i make the best gaming pc you can get under 950$?

I want the best you can get out of this money. And i want to know if its capable of playing games such as battlefield 3 black ops 2. And i also want to know if it will be capable of playing Call of Duty Ghosts and battlefield 4 when they are out. I need a monitor keyboard and mouse to fit this budget. It may be a tight budget but i really want to become a pc gamer. SO MANY ADVANTAGES! NO i DONT need an OS
