Ive been looking into getting a new monitor i currently have an asus 23.6in 2ms its like 180$
and im looking into getting a benq but i just want to find out if there are any better ones out on the market ? like i"ve seen some good acer ones and good asus. Let me now if you have any opinions please!

My Compaq Presario displays nothing on the monitor when I power it up. What could be wrong?

The monitor works so that is not the issue. The light on the monitor acts as if the computer is in sleep mode. The hard drive light stays on and it sounds like it is reading the hard drive. I need this computer to store documents so I would appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.

Does the light on the monitor stay yellowish orange or does it turn green. I am guessing it is staying yellowish orange if so then the monitor probably still works its your video card or the onboard video which ever you are using. You can pick up a 8mb-64mb video card all day long on ebay for under $20 or less. If you just use it for everyday things like internet or the like and not gaming you should look into getting one. I have several cards in this range if you want to email me about them. Thanks
