The resolution I run on is 1920x1200 24inch monitor. I'm planning to play games like Dead Space, Command and Conquer and World of Warcraft. I have a 300 dollar budget but I want to save as much money as possible. My CPU is an Intel Duel Core Processor clocked to 2.6ghz. Some help?

Answer
how good of a power supply is gonna determine what you can get as far as a video card goes.....to run the resolution you want to run i would definitely get a video card that had 1 gig of vram......you really don't need a really high power card to play the games you have listed, and you want to save some cash so I would go with ATI 5770 HIS 1 gig with gddr5 memory as it is 163.00 bux......you can get away with a good 450w power supply to run that card....plus you will be set as the card supports dx11....its a little bit slower than a radeon hd 4870.....the 4870 is getting harder to find....can only find 512mb versions....

5770----http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161317&cm_re=5770-_-14-161-317-_-Product

if you wanna go cheaper there is the radeon hd 4770 that is a very fast card for the money...i have 2 of them running in crossfire and they max out Grid and NFS Shift easily....2 cards run around 230.00 bux but 1 card would be enough really....i can play the games i mentioned on high settings with 1 card.....there 115.00 each......

XFX4770-----http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150369&cm_re=4770-_-14-150-369-_-Product

if you like nvidia better you can get the 9800gt or the gts 250 as they will game well also and there both under 135.00 bux.......or you can spend some extra cash and get the gtx 260 as there still running close to 200.00 bux......

gtx 260----http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=260+nvidia

overall though i believe the 5770 is the best deal right now for the price.....you will be future proofed as well for a while.......

Can someone help me build a new gaming computer?

A lot of people told me it would be best to build yourself your own rig. I really don't have any clue on what computer parts are best. I'm going to use it primarily for gaming seeing as my school already gave me a laptop. My budget is around 1,000 USD.

Answer
A good core 2 duo will be the basis of this build

The 9800GTX + is a great graphics card, and for $140 can't be beat.

You are at about $650 right now. a good size case will set you back abot $100 plus windows vista home premium 64 bit, whihc oyu will need, will set oyu back another $100, after tax and shipping oyu will be at or near $1000, no monitor.

Hope this helps
