I want to make a gaming computer but don't know what graphics card would be best for 1024x768~1280x1024.
It has to run the newest games on highest resolution.
Maybe a Vapor X HD 5770?
And please.Just ati cards.

Answer
The 5770 is your best bet. Currently it's got the best price/performance balance of any card on the market, and is more than capable of running any current game at high resolutions without a hitch. It's also really energy efficient, which is a nice plus. Obviously the 5870 is a big step up in power, but it's twice the price for a performance increase that's barely noticeable on the kind of resolutions people with normal sized monitors tend to play at.

It's also worth noticing that games haven't really been getting any more demanding as of late, which makes overkill seem like a bad move. Crysis is 3 years old, is easily played on the 5770, and it's still the most hardware intensive game there is.

I've got the VaporX, and it's great. Very quiet, and runs quite cool, but there is a hitch. Lots of them shipped with the incorrect BIOS, and so don't actually use all of their shaders. You can fix it with a simple bios flash, so it's no big deal, but be aware it might be under-performing out of the box.

Anyone know a good gaming computer that is worth its price?

That is the computer I'd recommend, it will play Battlefield 3 on Max settings and it will play any other game you through at it on max settings, that includes games within the next 2-5 years guaranteed.

This computer will NOT have to upgrade for quite some time. That's for sure.

Here is the rundown:

It has an i5 2500k CPU, which is currently one the best processors on the market, despite being the lowest of the sandy bridge line. These chips simply overclock better and run cooler than the rest. I would recommend this to anyone.

The second main part of any gaming system; is the Video Card. This system contains a Radeon HD 7950; which is one of the top 5 cards for gaming. Making it an obvious choice for maximum performance; this card will shred through games relatively easy. It runs cool, requires little power and is so quiet; you forget it's there.

This build boasts a Z77 Motherboard, which is the newly released intel architecture. This offers a fantastic and easy upgrade path for you. If you choose to upgrade in the future, there will be no compatibility problems waiting for you. Plus, this board comes with a whole slew of features most gamers and enthusiasts are looking for.

Also, this PC has a 1TB hard drive, which is plenty of internal storage; plus it comes with Windows 7 Home Edition pre-installed!

Another important note, is the 80+ Bronze Certified PSU, which means it's reliable and efficient, I've had the same PSU for 3 years and its never given me any trouble whatsoever.

Last but not least, is the 8GB of RAM. Which is the optimal amount for gaming, mostly due to the fact that no current titles or near future titles plan on utilizing more than 8GB of RAM; meaning anything over that is considered a waste (strictly speaking for games).

The case can be changed if you wish; You will definitely want something you can look at and love.

If you don't like this particular system, Valkyrie offers free help designing your system. You get a dedicated Tech specialist that will work to build a system that fits your needs and budget; effectively taking all the work and turning it into an easy process.

They also offer a Configurator for you to design your PC if you know what you want.

Hope this helps!
