Gaming Computer?

AllTimePla

Can some 1 tell me where i can find a great gaming computer and for how much?

Im looking to spend about $1100

Answer
At $1100 you will get much more bang for your buck by building your own computer.

What's a good gaming computer?

Dell xps or alienware? wich one is good, not expensive either and also good in doing school work? if you know another brand let me know

i have a dell, not sure what kind, i guess its those gay school kind, and its not good for gaming at all, i tried to play age of empires on it that i bought, and it slows down big time, so yea i need some help guys, dont know much about computers.

ok thx
Graphic card, thats what i basically need, geez thanks alot :)

might just stick with my dell now :)

Answer
The best gaming computer would be one you build yourself... if you are serious about gaming then you will learn how to build you own computer which is fairly simple... and much more cost effective. i build a full gaming rig for around 1000 bucks... you can build one for much less if you make an AMD based rig.. alien ware is owned by dell now i believe so pretty much your stuck with a very expensive xps system from dell. there are many gaming rigs you can get from mom and pop companies for much cheaper than dell... just look in pcgamer magazine. if you can... get their buyers guide special edition.... they show you how to build a very cost effective rig yourself. Furthermore, age of empires is a very weak game.. try maybe adding a graphics card to your current machine and that should boost performance 10 fold... if you are playing games a lot such as crysis and left 4 dead ( which are very graphic intensive) than build a true gaming rig... otherwise just get a new graphics card. youtube how to upgrade your graphics card and you should be set.. good luck!!

I am very new to gaming computers and I know I should build my own, but I want to first buy one premade since I have no idea how to make one. Give me some links to some if you guys can please. I don't need anything too advanced. All I really need is a gaming pc that will run all the recent games such as dishonored and things like that on medium settings with no lag. No serious power needed just some decent computers please. I don't have a price range right now but I would like to keep it under 750. I know that's low, but I have seen some decent ones that I am interested in that are cheap. So please let me know guys! Thank you!

Answer
Well, I could get you a very good gaming system, but you would have to build it yourself, BUT it is easy. Watch a YouTube vid and you are set, you just need a few tools and you can build it. It will safe you 100-200$ and you get the satisfaction of building it yourself. I based this off my 800$ high end gaming system and downgraded it some. Also, when building it yourself, not a whole lot can go wrong IF you watched a video. The CPU only fits in one way, same with the ram, sane with the video card. The parts are all built so that it is easy to build it yourself. This system is right at the border to a high-end system and even I would be very happy with it. It can take on any game at high to ultra settings with no lag. This video card can run Crysis 3 at High settings and BF3 at Ultra settings. In other words, its the most bang for your buck you can get. Also, It allows a lot of upgrading. For example if it gets slower you can stick a new GPU in it and upgrade to the 8-core AMD CPUs it supports. I built this system based on price, performance, and upgrade ability. Build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1kOKQ

NOTE: Intel CPUs are more expensive, but don't heat up as quickly, but for 200$ extra, they aren't worth it. AMD CPU's are better for budget systems, and have a much higher price for performance rating.

Hope this helps,

DJ

What is the best custom gaming computer?

Joe

i would like to know the best custom gaming computer i can buy with a budget of $1000-1500. I don't need a monitor. Yes i do want the best of what i can afford.

Answer
It would obviously be a custom one, built by yourself. You can't get a lower price than by doing it that way. For your budget, I'd recommend getting an AMD 7850, an i5 2500k (or, wait until the new LGA 2011 i5's come out, and get one around the same price, which is what I would recommend), 2x4GB of RAM, a 600-650W 80 Plus Bronze certified power supply, and the rest is pretty much just preference. Building a computer is very easy, and shouldn't take more than 3 hours doing it your first time. There's literally only about 7 parts and some cords, and they all snap together like Lego. This video series tells you pretty much everything you need to know about building one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPIXAtNGGCw

It doesn't tell you much about choosing the parts, though, so if you want extra help on that, feel free to message me on here.
Building it yourself will ensure that you get what you pay for. You can go ahead and buy low quality parts that might break in a few months and save a hundred bucks or less in the process, or you can spend a bit more for quality. Newegg.com usually has the best prices on parts, and has great customer support.

Edit: I forgot a couple things. I'd recommend a 64GB SSD. Specifically, this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148441
Install the operating system, and programs that you use very often on it. You'll notice an extremely large loading speed boost with an SSD. Also, if you have a measurable amount of money left over, you may want a larger (128GB; I recommend sticking with the M4 series) SSD, or a better graphics card, eg. the AMD 7950, 7970, or GTX 680.

Want to get a OK gaming computer for 100 bucks (used of course) Cause i only have 100 bucks, I really just want it to play combat arms and halo and MAYBE left for dead.
No it's 100% possible, I mostly want a computer i can upgrade my self, Like if it DON'T have a onboard video card, i can upgrade the video card and put more ram.
It can be old as long as it can be upgraded!!

Answer
How can you expect a pc of that cost. You can't even get an i3 processor for 100 bucks and forget about rest of the things. It would be better if you add more $100 and get an ipod touch 4g.

How do I build a very good gaming computer from 500-1000 dollars? And all on ultra highest settings?

Alexander

So I got a 1000 dollars and I would like to build my own gaming computer, but can someone please tell me all the necessary materials to build it, cause I'm not so intelligent with the components for the desktop, so that would be great. And I would like to be able to have this computer with all on the highest settings of everything and stuff, so I can hope to play Elder Scrolls Online or future games with no lag or bad graphics whatsoever. So please give me advice on anything and just stating the best materials to build my own, and also please tell me how long the computer would last with everything on ultra highest settings until i'll need new stuff for it (like a video/graphics card or something). SO thanks in advance.

Btw do you think it would be a better deal just to buy one pre built for like a 1000 bucks? Like how much money would I really save by building my own?

(Oh and giving me materials that I dont really need, and making it like 600-800 dollars would be nice, but a 1000 is the most I can spend, and that's even going over my budget, but thanks again)

Answer
Prebuilt is never a better deal because you won't get what you want.

For Elder Scrolls (Skyrim) you don't need a $1000 gaming computer to play it on ultra settings. Here's an $800 build that can do it, and it saves you some bucks.
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2smWn

Be aware that it can't play BF4 (let alone Crysis 3) on ultra because not even more potent machines can.

What video card do you suggest for a gaming computer?

Im building my own gaming computer hopefully soon and I was just wondering what video card you guys suggest. I need something that would look really good playing Battlefield 3 and other games with high graphics. Im learning a lot about computers still I'm new to it, Ive asked a lot of questions about building a computer on here. I just want to be sure about everything before I buy anything, Thanks!

Answer
Just buy a high-end card of either AMD or nVIDIA, with GDDR5 ram, DX11 supported, at least 800Ghz of GPU, and a good 2000RPM max fan. Usually stock fans for graphic cards are terrible, picking up a 40-50$ buck fan is worth it. Scythe along with Arctic Cooling have very good fans. I'd recommend dual gpu cards over SLI or Crossfire. I'm an AMD fan when it comes to processors but nVIDIA has better drivers than AMD when it comes to graphic cards. Also, when looking at video cards from nVIDIA their high end cards, if I'm remembering right, start with GTX. For both of them the higher the card number the higher it is in the series. And lastly, this is a benchmark for all video cards ranking them for their Price-Performance value: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_value.html
The rankings of that benchmark are fairly good considering they ranked Radeon HD 6670, third, which is believed to be the graphic card of the Xbox 720. Considering the Xbox 720 has the best performance for price mindset, the rankings make sense.
