Im using my 32 inch flat screen as the monitor for my comp but will not display games like SC2? why?

Q. This is true for most games i have tried to play with the exception of WoW

Answer
Flat screen what?

Most TVs will have difficulty meeting the resolutions needed for many up-to-date games, and this includes flat screen TVs too.

monitor not working properly?

Q. i just finnaly got my my 32 inch lcd tv to work as my computer monitor so i was pretty pumped. it works fine when im on the desktop and going on the internet, things like that, but when i try to play a full screen game like Left 4 Dead (the only one ive tried so far) the screen blacks out and it tells me that there is no signal. then once i exit out of the game and go back to the desktop the signal comes back.....any ideas
yeah...my graphics cards can definitely handle it...im running two gtx 260 in sli...good try though

Answer
You need to change the in-game resolution to match the 32inch TV's resolution (Do this with your monitor then switch to the LCD)

Edit:

Don't listen to the other dude, your graphics card is probably fine lolz

LCD 32 inch HD TV for gaming?

Tom

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone could anyone recommend a good 32 inch HD LCD TV with a frame rate under 8ms. I donât really want to spend over $800 unless I really have to. I remember I did see a Toshiba TV for seven-hundred something dollars, so I know they are out there, but I donât know if Toshiba makes good TVs or not. Any brand will do, just try to keep it to a bigger and well known brand. Also take into consideration that because I will be using this TV for gaming, it should have some ports, such as HDMI etc. Also take into consideration that this T.V. should have a descent picture quality, but it doesnât have to be amazing like those more expensive TVs because itâs going to go in my bedroom, not my living room. Thanks everyone and I will give someone 10 points for the best answer.

Answer
OK...Well I dont know why you really wanna go under 8MS. I use a 32inch LCD Samsung (model lns32d) I have no ghosting with it what so ever. In fact let me tell you my set up with it. I have me PS3 hooked up with Hdmi (looks so Sweet) I have my Wii hooked up with it as well and it looks great too. 8ms is a good value for gaming. Now let me warn you if you stress to much on it and it is not going to budge with you to be careful. A lot of people advertise 2ms response time and etc. Like my monitor for example. but that's Grey and not color. So the true response time is still 8ms. If PRICE ! is more worry then anything else. I would recommend you go with Olevia. I have that one in my bedroom and it is as well 32inch LCD. I picked it up for $500. That as well has an 8ms response time. Now for the question concerning Toshiba they make a great TV. but they are not known as much on warranty follow threw. Pros and cons man. For you I still Recommend the Olevia. Good Luck. (BTW: Side note) When you get your system hooked up and need an HDMI cable please go to www.newegg.com so much cheaper then retail stores. If you are worried about quality I want you to google HDMI Cable scam.

Good Luck

Should i game on my 32 inch LCD monitor?

This is my PC build:
Cooler Master HAF 922
ASUS M4A89TD Pro AM3 DDR3 ATX AMD 870 SB850 6 GB USB 3.0 Motherboard
Phenom II X4 95 Quad Core Processor AM3 3.2GHZ Black Edition
Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB 7200RPM 32MB Dual Proc SATA 3.5IN Hard Drive
LG GH22NS50 Black 22X SATA DVD Writer
AeroCool FP-01
Sapphire Radeon HD 5850 725MHZ 1GB 4.0GHZ GDDR5 PCI-E Display Port 2XDVI HDMI
Antec Truepower Quattro 850W Power Supply ATX V2.2 EPS12V 20/24PIN Active PFC 80PLUS Dual 8PIN PCI-E

I am wondering if i can run lets just say crysis on my 32 inch 720p LCD TV with a good fps and resolution, because i dont really feel like buying a smaller monitor, and also because i am spending about 330$ on my HD 5850.

Answer
You're computer can handle it easy but if you're running on a 720p tv then the highest resolution you'll get is 720p (1280x720) which is pretty low, especially on a screen that big. It won't look good.

I always see people posting their monitor size when comparing performance. Why is this? Does it really matter? I'm using a 32 inch 720p tv as a monitor. I also have a 20 inch flat screen computer monitor in storage. Will one be faster than the other and why?

Answer
ur dumb hahahah

With the technology these days would it be better to use a flat screen TV as my primary PC monitor?

Jerry Hamm

Or will I get higher quality by just buying a nice 24" flat screen PC monitor, or could I buy a 32 inch flat screen TV that would be just as nice only bigger? What would be the best? Plasma, LCd etc..

Answer
Besides 32" would be too big in a normal office setup, TVs will have poorer color reproduction from a graphic design standpoint. Movies, sports, games will look great, of course. Plasmas are prone to screen burn-in. LCD will provide narrow viewing angles. Monitors will often have wider viewing angles and better overall image quality.

If you are just doing office applications, internet, and gaming, you will probably not notice the difference between a TV and a monitor. If you are doing graphic design or want accurate color reproduction, then get a good 24" monitor, such as the Dell U2410.
