What is the best monitor for a gaming computer?

I just built my own gaming computer, and I was wondering what is the best monitor for it. My computer has a good graphics card so I want a monitor that is 1080p. At the moment I am using a 1080p tv, until I can find a good enough monitor. If possible I would also like it to be around $100. Please also provide a link to where I can get it. Thanks!

I have a Emachines computer that i got, about 3-4 years ago, and i want to upgrade it for a gaming
computer. Its running Windows Xp, have a intel processor and intel graphics card i think.
Is it possible or is it not possible???

Yes it's possible but it might not be what you expect. Maybe it will help maybe it won't. If you get a tech do it, could work but it will cost you. My brother did it with his computer but got a professional tech to do it(a cousin.) he ended up just buying and purchasing some parts. Buy a gaming computer if possible. a desktop pc not a laptop(laptops die quickly.)
