Looking for a gaming monitor for my xbox. Preferably 1080p.
Answer
I have had one of these for a few months. I think it is fantastic quality and really easy to set up.

You will also need one of these cables to connect to it.

Make sure you purchase the genuine microsoft cable as third party replicas are never as good

Will getting a bigger monitor decrease performance?
Doc
I'm using a Core i7 and a GTX 280. Right now, I have a 17" 1280x1024 monitor. I'm looking to get a 25.5" 1920x1200 monitor, but I'm concerned that I'll have to turn down the details on my games. I don't usually play high-quality games, but it would be nice to know that I could use my 16:9 tablet and still play Crysis with 4xAA and high settings at 60fps.
Any advice?
Answer
you have such a awesome pc and dont know ?? :) the answer is no the monitor has nothing to do with performance it is strictly cosmetic in a sense. of course it plays a role in how good the games will look but it does not make the computer slower or faster, nor does it make your video card perform better / worse. if you increase resolution from 1280x1024 in game to something bigger, then of course performance will decrease. play at same resolution you are now and you will have same exact performance. gtx 280 will get you far just not sure about 1920x
