gaming monitor curved image
Violation
I think I am almost there. I don't answer my phone, the door, don't eat, and fall asleep at my computer, to be awaken in 15 minutes to start playing all over again.
Spend all available savings on buying video games. It's been going on like this for almost 2 years.
Do they have a such organization of video games anonymous?
then I found out couple days ago that my eyes can't focus on anything more then 18 inches away from my monitor.
Answer
There is an easy check to see if you are already insane:
- Check if you have a phone at all. Maybe you don't answer your phone, because you don't have a phone?
- eating is a requirement to live. So it's biologically improbable to forget eating. Set up a stop watch and each time you eat something unconsciously, reset the stop watch and make a journal of your eating habits. You will be surprised.
- If you always wake up after 15 minutes after falling asleep at your PC, check if your keyboard is a cheapo brand, that's starting to beep as it's keystroke buffer overflows, because your large cranium is pressing all keys at once. Replace your keyboard with a brand name keyboard from Cherry, Logitech or Microsoft.
But keep away from the curved ergonomic boards, as the middle separator will leave a mark on your forehead, and people (if you meet them) will think of you as a Klingon Warrior.
Choose a keyboard with a gel or silicone wrist rest. You will sleep like a baby on these.
And finally in regards of your eye problem: Turn on the lights or open the window shutters, so other things further away than 18 inches from your monitor are illuminated correctly. This will make it easier to focus on them.
So, as you can see, basically there is nothing wrong with you.
If you really want to know if you're insane, go buy the game Psychonauts. If you find certain behavioral parallels with a certain Milkman, then you are insane.

What happened to the Huge Alien Monitor?
Rami
Hey guys, you know the 2880*900 display alienware monitor which was supposed to be released in late 2008. what happened to that? I can't seem to find any answers online.
Answer
I haven't seen any news about that monitor after May 2008. Looks like the higher-ups at Dell decided to quietly kill the project.
Most likely they decided that it will have a very limited sales so they canned it-- You can't really use a curved wraparound monitor like that for anything but PC games that would specifically support that resolution. Most people would probably opt for a flat-panel WQXGA 2560x1600 monitor instead because they can also use that for normal applications.
