Set a game to an unsupported resolution?

I set a game to a resolution that my monitor/tv doesnt support, so when I start the game, my tv says mode not supported. How might I fix it with out uninstalling the game and reinstalling it?

what operating system are you on? If you on windows 7, go on to compability tab, then should be a mode to run in like 640 x 400 or something, vista and xp probs have the same feature.

To be specific:
1. How about quality of image? [Refreshing Rate]
2. How about watching movie for a long time (Which one is worse)
3. Which one is power / energy saver?

1. Quality of image is based upon your video card.

2. If you have a bigger screen and a couch or comfortable chair across the room it is cool.
Or a laptop on a table or dresser near to your bed and use the mouse for controller (laser mouse works best for this)

3. If you choose to integrate your cinematic experience to your computer screen or vice-versa it will be efficient on costs. Especially if you buy you one of them big ol' flat screens for your living room and tie in everything from your computer to video game console to entertainment syetem etc. and controll it via wireless keyboard and mouse
