What you got there is fine. For gaming Intel's CPUs are a bit better. Though you should look for iBUYPower or CyberPowerPC's sales.

Ok so todays my birthday and I told my parents I want a gaming computer and they said ok but they will pay for half of it which we both agreed is reasonable and I want to know of a computer that is fast has good fps and will beable to play alot of newer games that I could buy and id like to be able to get new processers if so. Thanks id like between 500 to 1000 not includeing monitor

I'd go there and look at that build I just threw together. AND like the poster before me, if you can build it yourself, you'll save all kinds of money and it'll be a beefier because of it.

I run a 3 year old HD 5770 and I just got done playing the Crysis 3 beta for about an hour on medium settings....So with that money limit you can get something nice. :)
