What is a good gaming computer for about $600-800?

Michael

I am looking for a gaming computer that can play all the newer games such as black ops, homefront, crysis 2 etc... I can only spend about $600-800. I don't need a monitor or anything just the computer can anyone give me some options?

Answer
Titanium Gamer AM6020 would be a good choice for $669.99:

or

Systemax BlackOps PC for $749.99

I suggest building a custom gaming computer, you get better specs and save lots of money. It's not very hard if you know what are you doing.

Can a $700 gaming computer run 2011 games and below?

Jett

I was gonna go to my local PC shop and try to set up a computer for $700 bucks, for pure gaming. I was wondering what year of games I would be able to run with a $700 computer built specifically for gaming.

Answer
Depends if you want to play on maxed settings or if you are ok with running low or med settings.

$700 you can run 2011 games but most likely on low.

Monitor ~ $100
Windows 7 ~ $90
Mobo ~ $75
CPU ~ $150
Hard Drive ~ $50
PSU ~ $50
GPU ~ $100
Memory ~ $50
Case ~ $50
Tax ~ $75

This is approximate values for low-end parts. $700 won't get you very far with a gaming computer. I suggest investing at least $1000. Also I suggest ordering from Newegg.com than going to a computer store such as Microcenter. Can find the same parts for cheaper and free shipping. Good luck on your build.
