How can I hook my gamecube up to my monitor?

My gamecube only has analog AV out, and my monitor has HDMI, DVI, and VGA support. Is there a special adapter I can buy that lets me play the gamecube on my monitor?

How much does an extended display affect gaming performance?

I currently have a GTX 650 Ti SSC 2GB graphics card. I am using the HDMI and DVI output to a monitor and TV (respectively). I game on the monitor. I have a window open on the TV (extended display) to view a camera that refreshes every 1 second, loading a small picture each time.

The background changes every 10 seconds.

The games I play are in fullscreen and I have to do a windowed fullscreen to play (currently BioShock Infinite and Warface). I get decent froms (~50-60) with the two displays.

I would like to know: HOW MUCH DOES HAVING THE SECOND DISPLAY AFFECT PERFORMANCE?
