What is the best 23 or 24 inch monitor for gaming?

I am going to be building a high end gaming PC with a GTX 580 graphics card so what is the best 23 or 24 inch monitor. I will probably be playing all types of games like rpg's, first person shooters and the list goes on...(and no I do not want to use multiple monitors)

Dear! Dell has made some outstanding monitors over the years and they continue this trend with the UltraSharp U2410. Previous 24-inch models used a VA based panel, but the new U2410 has moved over to the IPS that provides a higher level of color and improved viewing angles.

Well its now time to give up my old 19 incher and I would like a new 24 inch monitor.
I would use this Monitor mainly for gaming.As with all things in life it can't be too expensive.

Iâve had my monitor (Samsung P2450H 24-Inch Widescreen Touch of Color LCD Monitor) a month today so far so great! the screen is really large so viewing video and gaming is awesome. I love the fact that the buttons are touch screen style so they only activate to touch. wonderful color... We'll see... but so far so good. I can't say anything bad about this monitor
The price is also good.
