pc video game screen capture image
Q. I am looking for some way to screen capture video (with audio) from my video game systems (Wii, PS3). any help on this would be appreciated.
Also, I looked up something called Dazzle or something like that and i'm still not sure how it works exactly.
and another thing, how would the audio work? a mic plugged in to something on the Dazzle?

Dazzle, you plug your adio video cables into the device. It then has a usb cable that plugs into your pc aswell as adio video cables that plug into your tv. This way you can still play on your tv while it streams to your pc with the usb cable. It has its own recording software aswell so it works pretty well. Only thing is most of them use composite cables, the red yellow and white ones instead of the HDMI cables. If you want to record in full HD you need a capture card. Black Magic intensity pro is the one to look at but its 300 dollars so not really a reasonable investment. They do have HD dazzles for around 80-120 dollars that use component cables though, the red green and blue ones. They will look very good quality and is probally your best option if you want to make dvds or even youtube videos.

What is the best free game capture software?

I've been wanting to records some PC game footage, specifically from Alliance of Valiant Arms, but I need a recording programs and I'm much to cheap to go out and buy fraps. I don't want to download anything illegally either. What is the best out there? I've heard of jing, which is a screen capture program, and wegame, but that's about it.

I'm afraid that all game capture software which can record video gameplay are sharefree, no matter how great or poor they are. You can try hypercam and the trial version will leave a logo at the top left corner of your video.
