I'm new to PC gaming and plan on building a PC. Would a 50/60 Hz Monitor suffice or do i need to a 120 Hz monitor. What is the difference?
Building for Battlefield 4

Answer
your monitor plugs into your video card vga socket etc. in the back of your computer --that affects gaming.

I have a pentium 4 3.2ghz 2MB ram ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro PCI Express 512 MB and when i go into games it will randomly black out the screen and there will be no sound either. It will also sometimes do it when i apply settings using the ATI catalyst that comes with the drivers. My monitor refreshes at 60 HZ. It may also black out if I exit the game as well.

has this happen before. it may be possible that since running games demand great performance from your graphics card, it is running too hot for it to function properly. overheating can easily be remedied. just clean out the fans and heatsinks of your graphics card and your system and see if the stability improves.
