hey guys so i have lots of trouble choosing which monitor/tv i should buy for gaming.
so my question is which is better for gaming? a ASUS VG278H/Samsung S27A750D (monitors)
or a panasonic ST30/GT30 OR VT30. (46-50" plasma tvs.)
i am a huge competitive gamer and i love FPS games. what i am looking for is a screen that wont give me any lag problems.
which is the best option for me please help me out if you can guys.
i game on the xbox 360 slim by the way!

Compared to PC monitors, a HDTV will always have some input lag, even if it is plasma. TVs do a lot of processing of the picture, to enhance it. This add a lot of time delay to display the picture. When watching a movie or TV, it doesn't matter because the television will also delay the sound by the same amount of time.
TVs do offer the options to turn off most of the processing, but even then it isn't near a computer screen.
Most people will not notice an input lag if they set the TV to game mode, but if you want the lowest input lag as possible, stick to a PC monitor.

I don't know much about the plasma tv, but I do know the pc monitor will pretty much erase all lag time. My brother plays super street fighte 4 on our big screen and got so mad about lag time he bought a pc monitor to erase the lag. And I was suprised that there is a huge difference. He is a real competetive gamer as well and he loves his new pc monitor
