How do i get HP games on my computer?

Q. My aunt has this HUGE long list of HP games.
i am not sure if it came from a disk, but i want to get that on my computer.
I don't want to call her so i was just wondering if you could help me here!

Answer
If you have a branded HP computer then you can get all HP games back.
HP places a Folder, named Swsetup on C: Drive that contains the setup of all HP games. You can search in it.

Or if you have deleted it. Then you can reinstall the OS from the HP recovery manager and get them back.

is a HP - Pavilion g6 a good gaming computer?

Frank

and if not whats a good gaming computer under 700 dollars.

Answer
You can easily get a considerably faster GPU, and also a much better display, with the HP DV6.

You will want a dedicated GPU ("graphics card"), and you should prioritize a good dedicated GPU before anything processor wise. Games depend more on a good dedicated GPU than having a particularly fast processor.

The G6 comes with a 15.6" 1366x768 display. 1366x768 resolution in a 15.6" display makes things onscreen large, and 15.6" displays that have 1366x768 resolution tend to have very poor image quality due to low contrast. The same applies to 17.3" 1600x900 displays. If you can avoid this type of display, then you should. Unless, of course, you require the larger text for eyesight-related reasons.

HP DV6t (i3-3110M, NVIDIA GT 650M, 15.6" 1920x1080 matte IPS display) - $766 + tax after coupon code NBQ1148
- http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/load_configuration.do?destination=review&config_id=7340461
- You could more than likely get away with keeping the CPU at the Core i3, since most games will be bottlenecked by the GT 650M before being bottlenecked by the CPU. The Core i3-3110M is faster than a Sandy Bridge Core i5-2410M (and similar to a Core i5-2450M) anyway, so you should be just fine. Don't skimp on the GPU or display just to upgrade the CPU.
- Worthwhile upgrades: Backlit keyboard, Larger or faster HDD.
- Don't upgrade memory on the configuration page, because it's much cheaper to do it yourself if you need to upgrade it. But you probably don't.
- Don't downgrade the GPU to the GT 630M or Integrated Graphics if game performance is important to you.
- Don't downgrade the display to 1366x768. The HP DV6 generally should not be bought in any configuration that includes the default 1366x768 display, unless its larger text is required for eyesight-related reasons. 1366x768 resolution in a 15.6" display makes things onscreen large, and 15.6" displays that have 1366x768 resolution tend to have very poor image quality due to low contrast.

HP DV6z (A8-4500M, AMD Radeon 7730M, 15.6" 1920x1080 matte IPS display) - $693 + tax after coupon code NBQ1148

- Don't downgrade the GPU to Integrated graphics if game performance is important to you.
- Don't downgrade the display to 1366x768 for reasons unrelated to eyesight. The HP DV6 generally should not be bought in any configuration that includes the default 1366x768 display. 1366x768 resolution in a 15.6" display makes things onscreen large, and 15.6" displays that have 1366x768 resolution tend to have very poor image quality due to low contrast.
- You could probably get away with downgrading the CPU to the A6-4400M, because games tend to be bottlenecked more by the GPU than by the CPU. The A6-4400M is similar in performance to a Core i3-2350M (but slower than a Core i3-3110M)
- Some worthwhile upgrades: Larger or faster HDD, Backlit keyboard.
- Don't upgrade memory on the configuration page, because it's much cheaper to do it yourself if you need to upgrade it. But you probably don't.
- Remember to apply coupon code NBQ1148

Note: Some have reported disappointing audio quality with this laptop.
