Parts for barebones pc?

Mason

I am a total beginner at building pc's(Havent built one yet) and I don't know what parts will fit my pc. I would like to use a Thermaltake Chaser System Cabinet and I don't know what parts will fit into it and best parts to buy to keep it under $650. Thanks for all of the help.

You need to make some decisions about what the pc is for and how you value quality, upgradability, vs price/performance.

Correct about pcpartpicker.

The case can be bought for the same or lower delivered price from Newegg.com
They price other components better also.
$80 is a lot to spend on a computer case for a $650 computer.
A computer has:
* CPU - Must have
* CPU Cooler - Most CPUs do have a stock cooler included. You can upgrade to a good aftermarket one.
Motherboard - matching CPU, decision about quality and features. This is a required part.
* DRAM - Must have. 2GB to 16GB typically, speed and voltage matched to the CPU.
* Storage - as spinning Hard Disk Drive and or SSD (Solid State Drive). required
* Graphics (video) Card - some PCs use graphics included in many CPUs, and gaming PCs get a good graphics card as this determines gaming performance the most.
* Case - Holds the parts. Has USB outputs of 3.0 and/or 2.0, and other features. Required part.
* Power Supply - Underestimated in importance by many builders. Provides the necessary power and has power stabilizers and protections. 12 Volt amps power cpu, graphics card, motors and fans
* Optical Drive (DVDRW) - generally used only for loading data, but some people want bluray and do burn disks.
* Operating System - Most people buy Windows, but there are other operating systems.
* Sound Card or use motherboard audio
* Wireless Network Adapters if you cannot cable to ethernet
* Display - monitor, or use a 1080p TV and cable
* Keyboards, Mice, amplified Speakers, Headphones
* Thermal Compound if not included with the CPU or cooler, 95% isopropyl alcohol to clean off old paste
* Extra Case Fans

Parts must be compatible. Your goals should be stated and the parts you will need from above list as included in the $650
The Chaser A31 has Maximum graphics card length 290mm / 410mm with cage removed
Has USB 3.0. CPU Cooler height maximum 160mm.Has a large side window. two fans included.
Rosewill Blackhawk is a nice choice for a case also.

Here is one potential $650 set, among others.

Is this PC good for Minecraft?

Alex

Is the Processor and Video Card good? With an estimate, how many frames per second would I be getting? Last, can it run Battlefield smoothly? Thanks!

Answer
cpu hardly matters in minecraft and most games, any non-celeron quad will do. it's gpu that dictates fps and performance. a 650 is only a mid end card, it's a step below my 560ti.
at 1920x1200 my 560ti puts out about 165 fps max with optifine, your 650 while a generation newer is still a step lower on the performance chart and will put out slightly less fps, perhaps 130.
the rest of the stuff hardly matters

having not played BF on my computer i don't have any idea what the fps might be, but it probably won't suck.

my computer for comaprison:
Intel Core i7 960 3.2 GHz quad cpu
nVidia GTX 560 ti 2 GB graphics
24 GB DDR3-1600 ram
ocz revodrive 3 x2 480 GB SSD primary
this was built Q1 2009, $1304 with OS ($950 w/o tax & OS)
it is fast and very powerful, but quiet and very reliable. low idle power usage, air cooled, low temps- 38/60C (idle/max), was built to be upgradable but did not expect the 1366 platform to die so quick.
