Gamers help me in choosing a monitor ?

Mohammad

hello i'm buying a new monitor for my computer i've got 2 choices :
LG 22EN332 LED which is full hd (1920*1080) with a refresh rate 57-60hz (21.5inches)
2nd choice : Samsung 2233rz 3d ready lcd monitor with a resolution of 1860*1050 with a refresh rate of 120hz in 2d mode (22inches)
note : i'm getting the monitor for gaming
help me plz I don't know what to choose ?
best answer 10pts :D
note both have the same price and what confuses me that both are good but the samsung has 3d capabilities while lg has higher resolution and less 60hz.Is the 3d of Samsung compatible in all games ? will it work also with uncompatible games ? is its 120hz more important than the lg 1080p display ??

Answer
I would go for the LG 1080p monitor.

120Hz monitors aren't useful unless you can actually produce up to 120fps, otherwise you'll get some dodgy frame pacing/latency issues because the framerate is so far below the 120Hz. 60Hz monitors are easily enough, as we can't really detect any more fluidity beyond 60fps. 1920x1080 is a more standard resolution, I've barely ever seen a 1860x1050 monitor.

As for 3d, only certain games can use it, and you need a graphics card that is capable of 3D, adding to that, your graphics card must be strong enough to output in 3D, AND maintain a good framerate, I wouldn't advise going in to 3D, it's not worth the troubles.

Good monitor for gaming?

Answer
Check these ones, they're all great for gaming and everything. They are all full HD 1980p Widescreens.

Note: Any monitor would do, just make sure the resolution is 1980p HD (or higher if your PC is super powerful), 23ich or higher, Response time 2ms or lower (the less the better), Brightness NOT less than 300, has HDMI (in case you want to connect it to an xbox360 or ps3 or other systems).
LED backlight monitors are better than LCD ones; MUCH brighter, last longer, power consumption is less, but unfortunately they are more expensive.
