! Good Gaming PC and Monitor? !?

XxKingjonX

I see more and more people that are switching from console to PC gaming, I want to too. But, I only have basic general knowledge of computers and i dont think i could build one. I would like to know if there is a good gaming pc and monitor out there, that gets the gets the job done and can play most games, but also isn't to terribly expensive as far as gaming pc's go. I just need to know a PC that will play most of the mainstream games with out a bunch of lag or problems

thanx.
Also, Comparing to the PC my friend has that i really like, it needs to have these Specs:
A CPU and a GPU
a GPU gtx 660 or better
and a CPU i5 2500k

Much appreciated..

Answer
go onto newegg, grab a barebones pc. those usually come with motherboard, cpu, psu, case, sometimes video card. if not, buy a vid card. you will also need a hard drive and ram (make sure to check compatability, newegg usually suggests it) as for monitors, i have never actually bought one. i use lcd tv's. nowadays you can get a 32" vizio for about $250 whereas you'd pay that much for a 20" computer monitor. also check craigslist. but be wary, there really is no inexpensive gaming computer. its just impossible unless you happen to get some mad deals.
heres my setup and it only cost me about $1500 minus tv's-
Case-Raidmax Tornado
MoBo-Asus M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3
Ram-G-Skill 8Gb DDR3 2000
CPU- AMD Phenom II x4 955 3.2 Gb
PSU- $20 Logisys 500 watt (idk how its lasted 2 years haha)
Hard Drive- Hitachi 1Tb
Solid State Drive- Corsair Force 3 60 Gb (for O.S)
Video Card- HIS ATI Radeon 4800 series.
My only downfall is the vid card, but hey, from off to windows 7 fully loaded and cpu at idle is only 50 seconds lol.

[Edit] when bulding a pc, go with AMD, cheaper and still performs as well as Intel. Intel will break your wallet easy.

Which monitor device is better for PC-gaming?

What's better for games like Call of Duty - Black Ops:

An 32" Samsung LED-TV (1920x1080 resolution with high contrast ratio) or
An 30" Dell Ultrasharp TFT (2560x1600 resolution with low contrast ratio)

Answer
if you're referring to PC gaming, then 1 sure question will be the optimal output of your graphic card
if your graphic card has at least DVI, or HDMI even better, then you'll have to see which of your Dell and Samsung supports the input

in fact, PC graphic usually has very high resolution, so you might as well get a PC monitor instead of a HDTV

and since you're into Samsung, i might as well recommend you getting Samsung LED monitor. no point investing in TFT now, since the technology will be phased out real soon
i'm not sure what your location is, but you can always check out Samsung's official site, follow through to your location, then check for available models. i believe you can get a real good price when compared to Dell
