Could i build a gaming computer for 600 - 700 dollars?

This is excluding things like speakers, a mouse monitor and keyboard. Just the computer itself. Also is it easy to put together if I haven't built one before?

I know a lot about how computers work, but I have never built one.

This build can let you play all games at high-max settings with good FPS

glad to help =P

@shane, no offense but The only thing I looked at among the parts you have recommended is the VIDEO CARD of which is very important in gaming since ALL GAMES are 75% GPU dependent.

Now, what you have recommended is the more expensive versionm of the gtx 550 ti which is 2GB, didn't you know that 2 GB is only good if the ASKER is planning to run 2 MONITORS at the same time but if the ASKER is going to use only ONE MONITOR then a 1 GB VIDEO CARD would be enough.

Next, I recommended a Radeon HD 6850 at $145 while yours is a GTX 550 ti 2GB at $170, MY HD 6850 is significantly much FASTER than your gtx 550 ti here's proof:

GTX 550 ti ranked # 41 overall in single GPU benchmark :

http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=GeForce+GTX+550+Ti

RADEON HD 6850 ranked # 16 overall in single GPU benchmark :

http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=Radeon+HD+6850

So, by looking at these stats, your gtx 550 ti can only allow the asker to play all games at mid settings and some on high settings, WHILE the HD 6850 can play all games at HIGH - MAX settings.

what is a good gaming computer for under 700 dollars?

Guild Wars 2 has some really low system requirements that are easy to meet at that price. Here is one that will run that game just fine.
