What are some good gaming monitors for FPS games?

Q. I need to get a gaming monitor between 200 and 450 dollars. Any suggestions?

The faster the refresh rate the monitor has, the better it will be for gaming. You'll want something with at least a 5ms refresh. The backlighting technology honestly doesn't matter; LED backlights will have deeper blacks and a wider color gamut, but CCFL backlights have an advantage in color accuracy without calibration and are much less expensive overall.

Also, HDTV sets with a 120Hz panel refresh rate work well for FPS games. 60 Hz sets also are usable, but will ghost more easily than 120Hz sets.

What to look when choosing a gaming monitor?

What should I look in when during a gaming monitor? LCD or LED? 1920x1080 or 1920x1200? what should the contrast ratio be? -5s response time?
Any recommendations from ncix.com?? that is the closest store from where i live.

You want the higher resolution, it will look better. 1920X1200 For sure. The rest doesn't really matter, it's the resolution and the size of the screen that's most important. Don't worry about the response time, it is all so fast, that you won't notice a difference. Hope this helps :)
