What can I purchase to improve my Laptop's Speed/Gaming (Hardware Wise)?

Hi, I was recently given a Laptop by someone. I really enjoy gaming, but unfortunately I cannot because of my current computer. I don't want to go and buy a new computer because I'm grateful for my neighbor giving it to me and I want to know if there's anything hardware wise that will boost its speed. I know about Game Booster and other programs, but Iâm asking about things dealing with parts. Also, I would appreciate it if you could leave an explanation on why or games that would work once I upgraded it.

Answer
The only thing that you can really upgrade in a laptop is the ram and hard drive. Check the website of your laptop maker and check the support page for upgrading and how to change internal components. You might find that info in the complete users manual.
To find out which games an run on the laptop go to the website "can i run it".

You can't run two different GPU's in sli. They must be identical.
An i5 is better for gaming because the GPU finds it easier to run of a 4 core CPU rather than a 4 core CPU with hyper-threading. Hyper-threading makes the system recognize the I7 CPU as 8 cores.
If you are doing a lot of editing an i7 would be better for that but an i5 will work fine aswel.
Also you don't need a psu that powerful.
